There are now a wide range of assistive technologies that may be of benefit to people with dementia and those who help care for them. Evidence suggests that remaining in your own home for as long as possible is good for your health and wellbeing. Your home is a familiar environment where you know where the tea bags are kept, can potter around your garden and take a walk out to the local corner shop whenever you want. Technology can be used to help a person achieve things they are finding harder to do e.g. being able to maintain relationships, being able to remember events or being able to carry out tasks independently.
